How do I become eligible for a scholarship?
Simply complete an essay, by the due date, on the topic which is determined each year by the Board of Directors (can be picked up from counseling or found here online). Once completed the essay will go through a grading rubric and ranked every essay from 1 → 10. The essays which score the highest based on our rubric get the scholarships.
How will I receive my scholarship? Do I need a bank account?
No, you receive your scholarship funds on the day of the scholarship event in the form of a check.
How many applicants are eligible?
Since 2017, we have grown the number of scholarships by growing members and donations. Every year we hope to donate more scholarships to more students.
2017 - 1 scholarship awarded in the amount of $500 each
2018 - 2 scholarships awarded in the amount of $500 each
2019 - 4 scholarships awarded in the amount of $500 each
2020 - unable to award scholarships due to COVID-19
Who runs the TCC?
The TCC is run by a Board of Directors.
